tonight was lovely in the most unexpected way
after a day filled with yelling, exhaustion and discord, I decided to try to pull myself out and make the most of what was left of the day. I decided to go to a craft event where we painted murals and I ran into my good friend Nina! We ended up chatting about all these bizarre things with the guy next to us. When it ended she unexpectedly (but delightfully) came with me to a comedy show with my friend zach. It was held at the Boulderado and we had the absolute best time. I think Zach and Nina might actually become friends! (especially since they live in the same apartment). The comedy show itself was in this divine basement that looked more like a fancy speak easy then a dive bar. Two things got crossed off my bucket list tonight..getting called cute by the comedian on stage and getting a reference from another comedian and title…”candy cane girl”. Actually so cute! It felt like the comedians were often talking directly to me. Outside of that just had the best time at the comedy show and the best time being a kid with 2 people just as weird and fabulous as me.
I had a dream last night
That I was standing in line at the top of this insanely steep roller coaster. The guy asked me if I wanted to go and I jumped in without hestitation and closed my eyes because I knew how terrified I was and if I hadn’t jumped in at that moment, it wouldn’t have happened. I waited for the stomach drop and there was one but not half as bad as I thought. Maybe the drops not that bad, I told myself as I plummeted to the earth. In my guts bubble a concoction of faith and fearlessness. This dream was about graduating
